BESPOKE PAPERCUTTING WORKSHOPS

Learn how to design, cut, and frame your own elegant paper-cut art!

Process:

We'll start with special black-and-white silhouette paper. I'll guide you to draw a basic bird shape and branches, then add details like feathers and leaves. Remember that everything needs to stay connected! After tips on using the knife for clean cuts and corners, you'll cut out your design. Many find the process meditative! Next, flip it to the black side and layer it over mulberry paper with organic details. This background enhances your piece, hides imperfections, and with the black frame provided, your art will be stunning and ready to hang!

Practical Info:

The 2-hour workshop includes all materials and instruction to complete one 5x7 inch paper cut, including an 8x10 inch frame. If you’d like to continue cutting at home, kits for purchase will be available with a cutting mat, knife, and extra paper!

Due to the use of VERY sharp knives, this workshop isn't suitable for children or drunk adults. Save the third cocktail for celebrating your finished art once the knives are safely put away!

Unlike a typical 'Paint & Sip,' there’s no risk of ruining clothes. It’s just paper—no glue, paint, or ink—so no mess, only tiny bits of paper to easily sweep up!
